AFL-CIO Law Student Union Summer
Labor law internships with affiliated unions
$600/week stipend plus transportation and housing expenses
Application deadline: January 22, 2012 for 1Ls; October 24, 2011 for 2Ls

Google Policy Fellowship
Policy internships for law students interested in internet and technology policy
Participating organizations are based in either Washington, DC or San Francisco, CA
$7000 stipend
Last year's application deadline: late December

Haywood Burns Fellowship for Social and Economic Justice, National Lawyer’s Guild
Work for a preselected public interest organization
$2,000 stipend
Application deadline: January 20, 2012

Janet Steiger Fellowship Program
Work in the consumer protection departments of selected State Attorneys General offices
$5,000 stipend
Last year's application deadline: January 31, 2011 (2012 deadline available on November 4, 2011)

Legal Aid Association of California Dan Bradley Summer Fellowship Program
Work at an LAAC-affiliated legal services program in California
$3,000 stipend from LAAC, host organization provdes $500
Last year's application deadline: Early April   (2012 deadline available in February)

Martin Luther King Internship and Fellowship Program (Pennsylvania Legal Aid, Inc)
Work at legal services programs across PA.
Last year's deadline: January 31, 2012

McCleary Law Fellows Program, Human Rights Campaign
Work at the Human Rights Campaign office in D.C.
Stipend not yet announced
Application deadline:  Summer Law Fellowships: 2L-First Tuesday in January; 1L-First Tuesday in February*

*These deadlines do not apply to students interviewing with HRC in a career fair or participating in a resume collect.

New Jersey Public Interest Legal Intern Fellowship Program
Work at a public interest legal service organization in New Jersey
$550 per week for rising 2nd year students and $750 per week for rising 3rd year students
Applications are available on November 15, 2011

Peggy Browning Fund Summer Internship
Work for a labor-related organization
$4,500 stipend
Last year's application deadline: January 13, 2012

Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) of Chicago Summer Internship Program
Work for one of 25+ public interest legal service organizations in Chicago
$5,000 stipend
Application deadline: The Summer 2012 application period for PILI Internships will open on October 15th for 2Ls and on December 1st for 1Ls. 
Many programs complete their hiring early in the cycle, so it is recommended that
candidates apply as early as possible.
