OPICS coordinates several employer recruiting programs each year that provide an opportunity for students to interview and network with local and national public sector employers.
- Location: Washington Court Hotel, 525 New Jersey Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20001.
- GIP is an opportunity for federal, state and local government agencies to interview Georgetown students for paid summer and permanent positions.
- GIP utilizes Symplicity.
- Key Dates and Deadlines:
GIP Employer Information available & bidding begins: July 3, 2007 at 12:00 noon
Bidding deadline: August 9, 2007 at 6:00pm
Employer selections released to students: August 29, 2007
Selected students schedule interviews on Symplicity between: August 29 - September 5, 2007
- Location: Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert Street, NW, Washington, DC 2006.
- The EJW Career Fair is the largest annual gathering of public sector employers in the nation. Participating employers attend the Fair to meet and recruit students for their summer and permanent hiring needs. The format includes prescheduled interviews, career panels and two "table talk" sessions, an opportunity to network informally with employers.
- Students send cover letters and resumes (plus any additional application materials requested) directly to participating employers.
- DO NOT submit application materials to Equal Justice Works or OPICS. Because the application is in August this year, OPICS is not conducting an organized resume collection.

- A note for 1Ls about EJW Career Fair participation:
In accordance with the NALP 1L hiring guidelines, first year students are prohibited from prescheduling interviews at the EJW Career Fair. However, first year students are encouraged to attend the career panels and take advantage of the networking opportunities during the daily "Table Talk" sessions.
Georgetown/GW Public Interest & Government Interview Program
- The Public Interest & Government Interview Program is an annual program we co-sponsor with George Washington University Law School that brings 100+ nonprofit and government agencies together for a one day interview and networking opportunity. Information for students will be available in November 2007.
(Fall and Spring)
- Throughout the year, we are contacted by employers who request that we help them to actively recruit Georgetown students for their academic year, summer and post-graduate job openings. Watch for Resume Collection announcements on the OPICS home page and in the weekly OPICS Update E-mails.
