2010 Public Sector Recruiting Program

The George Washington University Law School and Georgetown University Law Center invite you to recruit current law students for summer 2010 and entry-level employment opportunities.

WE PROVIDE THREE WAYS TO PARTICIPATE:

INTERVIEW on-site: The on-site program will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the George Washington University Law School Marvin Center (800 21st Street NW, Washington, DC) in two shifts:  8:30 am – 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Employers should choose either the half-day am or pm option (up to 11 interviews) or the full-day option (up to 20 interviews). One 20 minute break will be scheduled during each shift and all participating employers are invited to a buffet lunch.  Resumes and cover letters of interested students will be available to employers on January 7, 2010. Because employers that register for the interview option will receive application materials from all interested students, it is not necessary to register for both the interview option and the resume collect option.

RESUME COLLECTION (never leave your office!): Can’t make it to the program?  Let us help you meet your hiring needs by collecting resumes and cover letters for you.  You will receive student application materials on January 14, 2010 and you may invite students to interview by phone or at your office at your convenience. 

TABLE TALK: Speak informally with an unlimited number of candidates at the George Washington University Law School Marvin Center on Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.  If you wish to both conduct interviews and participate in Table Talk, please select an afternoon interview schedule only or bring two representatives so that interviews and Table Talk can be conducted simultaneously.  

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE INTERVIEW OPTION:

The Public Sector Recruiting Program is administered through Symplicity, an online recruitment management tool. 

1. Log onto Symplicity using the login and password supplied in your email invitation and click on "Submit Schedule Request" under "Quick Links" on the homepage.  Please contact us (see information below) if you need to obtain a username and password.
   • From the "Select Program Option" pull down menu, choose "Public Sector Interview Option 2010." Fill out the entire Schedule Request form.  When your form is completed, click "Submit." 
2. To complete your registration, click on "profile" on the top taskbar.  Complete the two page profile section: fill out "Who We Are" and then "Save Changes." Click on "Next"; fill out "Key Statistics" and click on "Save Changes."  Your registration is complete.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE RESUME COLLECT OPTION:

1. Log onto Symplicity using the username and password supplied in your email invitation and click on "Submit Schedule Request" under "Quick Links" on the homepage.  Please contact us (see information below) if you need to obtain a username and password.
   • From the "Select Program Option" pull down menu, choose "Public Sector Resume Collect Option 2010." Fill out the entire Schedule Request form.  When your form is completed, click "Submit." 
2. To complete your registration, click on "profile" on the top taskbar.  Complete the two page profile section: fill out "Who We Are" and then "Save Changes." Click on "Next"; fill out "Key Statistics" and click on "Save Changes."  Your registration is complete.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE TABLE TALK OPTION: (this may be done in conjunction with on-site interviews)

1. Please e-mail Con Efstathiou, Manager of Public Sector Recruitment at Georgetown Law, to indicate that you would like to participate in Table Talk.
