2009 SEMESTER ABROAD PROGRAM

EDUCATION ABROAD ACCIDENT AND SICKNESS INSURANCE Georgetown University (GU) requires students enrolled in a study abroad program to be enrolled in the Study Abroad Student Health Insurance Plan arranged by CMI Insurance Worldwide, an insurance agency. In addition, these students must be enrolled in another health insurance plan that covers medical expenses of at least $100,000 per illness and $100,000 per injury while they are in the United States. These requirements enable students to obtain the necessary health care while abroad; if necessary, to return to the United States with medical assistance; and, to obtain the necessary health care upon their return home. Students have been provided with the Education Abroad Insurance Card. If you need a replacement, please contact Mariah Strauch-Nelson at mjs257@law.georgetown.edu. The charge for the Plan is $70 for any part of the following trimesters:
