	Spring 2007 Waitlist Lottery and Last Chance Lottery


	Spring 2007 Daily Waitlist Lottery: Tuesday, January 16 - Tuesday, January 23 The Spring 2007 Waitlist Lottery begins on Tuesday, January 16. To have your waitlist request(s) included in the waitlist lottery results beginning on the first day of classes, you must make your registration requests through Student Access+ before Friday, January 12 at 6:00 p.m. Beginning on Tuesday, January 16 and until Tuesday, January 23, waitlist results by course will be available through Student Access+ by noon each day. If you win a seat off the waitlist, you must claim your seat by 6 p.m. on the day you win the seat or you forfeit the seat. You may claim your seat online through Student Access+ or you may call the Office of the Registrar at 202-662-9220. Please note: If you have already added yourself to the waitlist for a class, do not attempt to add yourself again. Doing so will replace your original submission date with the current date and you will lose your waitlist priority. Waitlist lottery process for mandatory first class attendance courses: Attendance at the first class for waitlisted and enrolled students is mandatory. Only students who add themselves to the waitlist prior to the start of the first class will be included in the waitlist lottery for this course. The professor will provide the Office of the Registrar with a list of enrolled and/or waitlisted students who attended the first class. Only those students will be eligible to be enrolled in the course. All others will be dropped from the course or the waitlist. Explanation of Add/Drop/Waitlist Messages: Enrolled - course has been added Wait Listed - you are on the waitlist for the course Closed - Use Waitlist - There is a waitlist for the course. Note: You have not been added to the waitlist. To add yourself to the waitlist, use the 'Waitlist' function. TC - [Course Number] - time conflict with the course listed Dropped - the course has been dropped Already Enr in Crse - you already have the same or another section of this course Credit > Max Load - your credit limit has been reached Instrctr Permit Reqd - Professor Permission Course No Wait List - this course has no waitlist (open course, prof. permission course, Spring section of a year-long course, etc.) Not executed - Course not on your schedule - you may not drop a course you are not registered for Student Not Eligible to Register - a registration or student account block may be in place Spring 2007 Last Chance Lottery: Tuesday, January 23 If you do not win a seat for a Spring 2007 class through the Add/Drop/Waitlist process by Tuesday, January 23 and would still like to try for a seat in a course, you must complete a Last Chance Lottery form on Tuesday, January 23 between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm. These forms will be available in the Office of the Registrar on Tuesday morning. Students may come in and complete the forms themselves or call the Office of the Registrar (662-9220) and provide the necessary information over the phone. This lottery process cannot be done electronically through Student Access+. The Last Chance Lottery is separate from the waitlist process. Students who are on a waitlist for a course and who wish to be considered for the Last Chance Lottery must reiterate their interest in the course by completing the Last Chance Lottery form. The Last Chance Lottery results will be posted on a board located outside of the Registrar's Office by 8:30 pm on Tuesday, January 23. Last Chance Lottery winners have until 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 24 to claim their seats. Students must claim their seat in person or by phone no later than 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 24 or their seat is forfeited. Please note: Requests are separated by the normal priority rules (3rd years have more priority than 2nd years, etc.) and then students are selected randomly among those with the highest priority.
