Originally a tobacco port, Alexandria is older than the District itself, and iis filled with specialty shops, restaurants, and art galleries.   Alexandria offers a broad selection of housing styles and types.  There are four metro stations in Alexandria and the city is only a short distance to Ronald Reagan National Airport, Rosslyn, and downtown Washington.

This area is located directly across the river from Georgetown and is close to the Pentagon and National Airport.  Crystal City is closest to National Airport and has one of the largest multi-use complexes in the country.  There are 39 golden brick building with restaurants, stores, and office buildings.  A network of tunnels connects the buildings and leads directly into the Crystal City metro stop.  There are many hi-rise communities and apartment complexes in this area.  Single family homes and townhouses are limited.
