Club Fair - Early Fall
A great way to get involved in one of Georgetown Law's many student organizations is to attend the annual Club Fair, which is held in the first weeks of the Fall semester. Student organizations sponsor lectures, community service projects, and many other activities. Representatives from over 55 organizations and public interest clubs will be on hand to provide information and sign-up sheets for their groups and events. This event is usually held on the Quad and also features free food, drinks, and music.
Start of Wednesday Wind Downs (WWDs)
Held throughout the year, WWDs are held from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Weather permitting, they are usually held in the one of the Quads or in the lobby of the Sports & Fitness Center. WWDs bring together students, faculty, and staff. Light foods and beverages are provided. Several themes include a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, and Mardi Gras. WWDs are funded by the Student Bar Association, and co-sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs.
Fall Float
The Fall Float is a Georgetown Law tradition. In early fall, the Student Bar Association rents a private party boat for students to cruise the scenic Potomac River. Two enclosed dance floors, two heavy appetizer tables, and two open wine and beer bars complement the open deck surrounding the cabin. There’s nothing more relaxing than feeling the rush of the Potomac air ripple through your hair as you get to know your fellow law students. This event sells out, so buy your tickets early.

For the Love of Chocolate.
Taste of Georgetown Law is an annual fund raiser for the Bettina Pruckmayr Award. Bettina was a 1994 graduate of the Law Center, whose life was tragically cut short during a brutal robbery. A monetary award is given each year to a graduating student dedicated to continuing Bettina's work in the field of International Human Rights. This year's Taste of Georgetown Law repeats last year's popular theme: For the Love of Chocolate. For a nominal fee or the contribution of a homemade dessert, participants are admitted into a room filled with an assortment of chocolate treats, where they are allowed to eat to their heart's content.

Barrister's Ball
The Barristers’ Ball is held every year in the spring semester, usually in March. Organized by the Student Bar Association, it is a Black tie optional event at a downtown hotel ballroom and a chance for law students to dress up and unwind during the bleak winter months. Tasty appetizers, foot-tapping tunes, and an open wine and beer bar keep the party rolling until midnight. In 2008, we even had a Kareoke DJ and a Jazz Lounge.
