GEORGETOWN LAW STUDENT BAR ASSOCIATION: Special Events Committee. ruler

This committee plans, advertises for, and executes at least two major schoolwide event each semester. Traditionally, those events are:

Fall Float

The Fall Float is a recent Georgetown Law tradition. In early fall, cruise the scenic Potomac River onboard a private party boat. Two enclosed dance floors, two heavy appetizer tables, and two open wine and beer bars complement the open deck surrounding the cabin. There’s nothing more relaxing than feeling the rush of the Potomac air ripple through your hair as you get to know your fellow law students. This event sells out, so buy your tickets early.

Barristers’ Ball

The Barristers’ Ball is held every year in the spring semester, usually February or March. It is a Black tie optional event at a downtown hotel ballroom and a chance for law students to dress up and unwind during the bleak winter months. Tasty appetizers, foot-tapping tunes, and an open wine and beer bar keep the party rolling until midnight.
