Ordering instructions are below. *Regalia must be returned to the Main Campus bookstore following Commencement.* Detailed Instructions for Online Graduation Regalia Order: 1) Students should go to http://jostens.com and go to the pull down menu at the top of the page for [Caps, Gowns & Diplomas] and select [College] 2) Type in “Georgetown University Law Center” in the blank provided for school. 3) After you click on [Go], you will have the option to select [Georgetown University Law Center]. 4) Select the “Caps & Gowns” option. 5) A box will pop up that says, “Student JD and LLM Regalia.” Click on that link. 6) Click on the small cap & gown icon and from there you will be able to select the size of your regalia items and order your regalia. Announcements and class rings may also be ordered on this website. Wearing the Academic Regalia The Regalia, including the hood, is to be worn for the entire processional and ceremony. Follow the instructions below to assist in the proper way to wear your hood. 1. Put the hood on over head with velvet side up (facing your chin) and the small tapered end in front. 2. To prevent hood from riding against neck, attach the hood neck cord over shirt button or the gown zipper before closing gown. 3. Ask the graduate standing next to you to secure the cord across the back to keep the back of the hood together. 4. Additionally, ask the graduate standing next to you to turn out the satin (so that the satin blue and gray colors face out). 5. Graduates should wear their tassels on the left side of the cap throughout the ceremony. Graduation Announcements Personalized announcements may be ordered through Jostens, online at http://shop.jostens.com or by phone at 1-800-854-746. Class Rings Jostens will visit the Law Center in mid-March to sell rings.
