about us

Georgetown University Law Center Presents: Outreach

Outreach is a student-run organization that gets GULC students away from campus (and out of the library!) and into the community by participating in a variety of exciting projects throughout Washington, DC. We organize monthly and semi-annual service projects (and soon to come pro bono projects). Last year, Outreach members volunteered in homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and public schools.

Our Mission is to help integrate the Law Center and its students into the DC community of which we are a proud member. Our goal is to contribute as we can by volunteering our time and services where they are needed in DC. We also hope to provide students with a productive outlet for their energies to help decrease stress and increase self-esteem.

Outreach plans smaller hands-on service project every month in addition to our two semi-annual schoolwide days of service.

This Year's Outreach Staff

This year's current staff includes the students who helped reinvigorate Georgetown Outreach last year. The staff will focus on planning the semi-annual events and will act as resources and mentors.

Our new 1L Section Leaders will assist in planning monthly projects by section and provide support for the semi-annual projects.

Thank You Kevin

It’s only fitting we give a mention to Kevin Vess on the "About Us" page, because without him we wouldn’t have such a wonderful website! Kevin designed and developed the Outreach logo, website, and brand identity. These designs and website were his way to contribute to our organization.
