What Has Outreach Done?
Outreach has an impressive list of past community service projects under our belt. Here is a select few of our most notable projects in the DC community. If you are interested in helping us in our next project, get involved.
Gewirz Trick-or-Treating
Outreach volunteers helped first, second, third, and fourth graders from DC to enjoy fun and games on Wednesday, Oct 31! Volunteers participated in face painting, making crafts, handing out candy and playing games for students who might not have had any safe Halloween fun otherwise!Light the Night Walk
Light The Night is an annual DC event to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The goal of the walk is to build awareness of blood cancers and raise funds for cures. The walk is 2 miles in length, sign-ups are free, and all donations are tax deductible!

Over 65 students volunteered at one of the following organizations around DC:
- > So Others Might Eat
- > Higher Achievement Program
- > National Arboretum
- > Community Family Life Services
- > Ronald McDonald House
SOME helps break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor, the elderly and individuals with mental illness.
Provides middle school children from underserved areas year-round academic enrichment programs and preparation for top high school placement.
Enhances the National Arboretum, a living museum with trees, shrubs and plants cultivated for scientific and educational purposes.
A faith-based, non-profit organization with a mission to help people who are low-income and homeless achieve personal growth social and economic self-sufficiency and independence through a web of integrated care, regardless of their faith.
Provides a home away from home to families of seriously ill children being treated in DC area hospitals.
Georgetown Outreach presents: A Day of Service in Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.

- > Capital Area Foodbank
- > PFLAG DC
Empowers homeless and low-income women to claim their highest quality of life by offering a broad spectrum of services and advocacy in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
A medical facility for the homeless, which provides 24-hour care, as well as comprehensive nutritional, pastoral, and social services.
Provides transitional housing services, shelter, and support programs to homeless and struggling families.
A faith-based, non-profit organization with a mission to help people who are low-income and homeless achieve personal growth social and economic self-sufficiency and independence through a web of integrated care, regardless of their faith.
Provides a home away from home to families of seriously ill children being treated in DC area hospitals.
Feeds those who suffer from hunger in the D.C. Metropolitan Area by acquiring food and distributing it through their network of member agencies.
Promotes the equality and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons, and their families and friends through support to cope with an adverse society, education to enlighten an ill-informed public, and advocacy to end discrimination and secure equal civil rights.
