Presentation of the GEMALaw Alumni Achievement Award The panelists will discuss the approaches
and challenges of contract negotiations in the sports and entertainment
industry and the process of urban planning regarding sports and
entertainment facilities, such as the new Washington Nationals Stadium.
The Georgetown Entertainment & Media Alliance (GEMA) and the
Georgetown Sports and Entertainment Law Society have joined forces to
form GEMALaw.
This event marks GEMALaw’s official launch. GEMALaw is for students,
alumni, faculty, parents and friends in the Georgetown community who
share an interest in legal issues affecting the sports, entertainment
and media industry.
The first GEMALaw Alumni Achievement Award will be presented to Edward L. Cohen,
Principal, Lerner Enterprises, Principal Owner, Washington Nationals
and Georgetown Law class of 1971. The award is given to a Georgetown
Law alumnus who represents outstanding professional accomplishment as
well as a long-standing devotion to the sports, entertainment and media
industry. |
