Ambassador Mark R. Dybul, Distinguished Scholar, O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law and former U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesu is widely regarded as a leading public figure in global health. He has led Ethiopia's Ministry of Health since 2005, a period during which the country has seen substantial health gains across many indicators. Tedros is also the chair of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, and the former chair of the Roll Back Malaria Partnership. He is an internationally recognized researcher on malaria.
Mark Dybul is a distinguished scholar at the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law. Prior to joining Georgetown, he served as the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, leading the implementation of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). In his role, he oversaw all U.S. government engagement in the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, and served as chair of the group's finance and audit committee.
