Ms. Asiimwe-Mwesige is currently the Vice-Chairperson of the Federation of Uganda Women lawyers (FIDA-U), a position she has held since 2005.

She is currently the Deputy Program and Advocacy Manager for the EU Civil Society Capacity Building Program, and as such she is responsible for assisting civil society organizations linked to the program to improve their advocacy roles vis-à-vis the government as well as supervising other program activities.
