Profile:
During her Fellowship year at the National Women's Law Center, Ikeita worked on initiatives to promote health insurance coverage for prescription contraceptives, preserve affirmative action, and increase access to and affordability of child care. She spoke and wrote extensively on the critical importance of affirmative action and reviewed federal court appointments. She received a gubernatorial appointment to the Maryland Commission for Women and became co-chair of the Board of Advisers for Female Entrepreneur magazine. She is currently the Legislative Affairs Manager for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
