Described by her past supervisor, Fellowship alumna Claudia Center, as “the hardest worker I have seen in six years, really bright, and entirely committed,” Jinny came to the Fellowship from the Employment Law Center in San Francisco. At the Center, Jinny litigated on behalf of victims of discrimination, including a class action brought on behalf of disabled women. She also externed at Equal Rights Advocates in San Francisco. Prior to law school, Jinny worked as a legal assistant at Disability Rights Advocates. As an undergraduate, she used her Korean language skills as a volunteer at the Asian Immigration and Domestic Violence Clinics. While earning her law degree at University of California, Davis, Jinny worked on the Journal of International Law and Policy and chaired the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
Jinny spent her Fellowship year with the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee. She currently works for the Employment Law Center of the Legal Aid Society in San Francisco. |
