Profile:

Lisa spent her Fellowship year with the US Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Commission.Upon completion, she worked for the Federal Programs Section in the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, and later joined Mehri & Skalet, PLLC. She is currently Senior Counsel and Senior Policy Analyst for the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, working on a variety of civil rights issues including Hate Crimes, Criminal Justice, Voting Rights, Employment Discrimination. She worked extensively  on legislation to restore the Americans with Disabilities Act after the past decade of Supreme Court decisions severely narrowing its application.
