"On first glance, Barnes Dennig retains all of the trappings of a traditional, old-line accounting firm. It's located in the same building - Carew Tower - where it was founded. Its boardroom is dark-paneled and lined with bookshelves, with twin portraits of the two founders at center stage. It has avoided spreading into investments or high-tech companies and scaled back a consulting practice it touted half a dozen years ago. But Barnes Dennig also has shown a new-age ability to adjust, with about three-quarters of its 92 employees taking advantage of flexible scheduling. Michelle Class, a marketing manager who has worked at Barnes Dennig for more than eight years, took advantage and has worked two days a week from her Fort Thomas home since her daughter was born four years ago.” Mentions the Sloan Foundation.
