Externship Application Process
To register for the externship seminar after a placement has been secured, students must fill out and submit the online Externship Application Form. You must be signed on to your GAE account (Georgetown Law email) in order to access the application form. If you are having difficulty accessing the application form, contact Brianna Warne, Executive Assistant for the Externship Program at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After a student's application is approved, the Office of the Registrar will manually update the student's schedule on MyAccess. You cannot register yourself for an externship seminar. If there are any problems with your application, you will be contacted directly.
Summer 2016 semester: CLOSED.
Fall 2016 semester: The Fall 2016 Application will be available from Monday August 1 at 9am to Friday August 12 at 11:59pm. Please refer to the Curriculum Guide here for information about available Externship seminars.
Spring 2017 semester: Due January 13, 2017. Application not yet available for the Spring 2017 semester.
Please note that students must complete all administrative, classroom, and written assignments in order to be eligible for credit.
