Who Are Our Graduate Students?

Georgetown Law enrolls approximately 450 LL.M. students each fall.  Roughly half of these students are educated outside the U.S. and the other half have a J.D. degree from the United States.  Many of the full-time U.S.-educated students have just completed their J.D. programs, but we also have many U.S.-educated students (particularly part-time students) who have been in legal practice for a few years. The other full-time students are foreign-educated, from over 60 countries, and have generally practiced law for a number of years. Our students have worked as attorneys in private law firms, consulting firms, corporations, government agencies, international organizations and non-government organizations.  Please view an article from Georgetown Law magazine that profiled some of our recent LL.M. alumni by clicking here.
