Instructions for Accepting a Waitlist Seat
Waitlist Lotteries will run each weekday (excluding holidays) at 3PM ET as seats become available. See Registration Timeline. If you win a waitlist seat, you will receive notification from BANWAITLIST@georgetown.edu and you must claim your seat in MyAccess by the 24-hour claim deadline provided in the email. Non-responsive students will lose their seat and will forfeit that seat to the next student on the waitlist.
- To claim a winning seat(s), go to the ‘Add or Drop Courses’ page on the registration menu and choose ‘Web Register’ from the action menu and click ‘Submit Changes’.
- If you have successfully accepted your winning waitlist seat, this course will now appear in your current schedule with a status of “Registered.” If you fail to claim your waitlist seat via MyAccess before the claim deadline, you must re-add yourself to the waitlist following the directions provided in How to Add/Drop/Waitlist Courses.
