HRI to Host Film Screening of “Bad River”

Bad River, the powerful new documentary film written and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Mary Mazzio (I Am Jane Doe, A Most Beautiful Thing) and narrated by Indigenous activist and model Quannah ChasingHorse along with award-winning actor Edward Norton (Primal Fear, American History X, Birdman), chronicles the Wisconsin-based Bad River Band and its ongoing fight for sovereignty.
We are honored to screen this film as part of our Storytelling for Social Change series and as a lead up to HRI’s annual Samuel Dash Conference on Human Rights on April 9th on Protecting Environmental Defenders in an Age of Climate Emergency.
