Liron’s research focuses on artificial intelligence and autonomy in the realms of national security and foreign policy. In particular, he is interested in the regulation of lethal autonomous weapon systems through novel regulatory mechanisms, under international law. Formerly, he was a Resident Fellow with Yale Law School’s Information Society Project. He is a certified mediator. Currently, Liron is a Visiting Researcher and Senior Editor of “The Arena – Diplomacy and Foreign Relations” Magazine, with the Abba Eban Institute for International Diplomacy, IDC Hertzlia. He also consults on cases involving international arbitrations and other international disputes.
Prior to his current endeavors, he served as an Assistant State Attorney at the Israeli Ministry of Justice, Department of International Affairs, focusing on extraditions, prisoner transfers, and parental child abductions.
