Program application will open at <\/span>9:00 AM ET on Friday, April 10th<b>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 Applications must be submitted with all required documents by <\/span><b>3:00 PM ET on Friday, April 22nd<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<strong> L<\/strong><\/span><strong>ate applications will not be accepted.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Application Requirements:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Completed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/a6HnycF8coELoVPP7\">online application<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Current and official transcript for your Juris Doctor degree program, sent directly to the Office of the Registrar (electronically accepted or sent to the address at bottom of page)<\/li>\n<li>Letter of Good Standing &amp; Enrollment Approval: a letter of good standing\u00a0<strong>which also authorizes your study at Georgetown University Law Center<\/strong>, sent directly to the Office of the Registrar (electronically accepted or sent to the address at bottom of page)<\/li>\n<li>Non-Degree J.D. students are charged a\u00a0<strong>non-refundable application fee of $85<\/strong>, which is due by the application deadline.\u00a0 To pay the application fee, please complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/georgetownuniversity-kmzbf.formstack.com\/forms\/2019_nondegree_application_fee\">Office of the Registrar \u2013 Payment Form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After your official transcript, letter of good standing\/enrollment approval, and application have been reviewed, a response will be sent to you via email. <strong>\u00a0<em>A final admission decision will not be made until all application requirements have been received.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Registration Process<\/h3>\n<p>Non-Degree J.D. students may enroll in <strong>a maximum of six credit hours<\/strong>, and may take no more than two courses per semester.\u00a0 If you are interested in attending Georgetown Law for multiple semesters, an application <strong>must be submitted for each semester.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of your application and admission to the Non-Degree J.D. program, you will be sent information and instructions on registration by the Office of the Registrar.<\/p>\n<h3>Available Courses:<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/curriculum.law.georgetown.edu\/course-search\/\"><strong>Georgetown Law Curriculum Guide \u2013 course descriptions, requirements, and exam schedule<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Non-Degree J.D. students may enroll in J.D. (LAWJ) courses on a space-available basis with the following exceptions: (1) enrollment restriction noted on the course description; (2) J.D. first-year, clinical or externship courses in the Fall or Spring semesters; and (3) Graduate Independent Research or cross-listed Graduate (LAWG) courses. <em>Non-degree J.D. students may request enrollment in the Summer Externship program.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Enrollment is on a space-available basis with enrollment priority given to degree candidates.\u00a0 Seat availability in courses will not be determined until your application is completed and processed.\u00a0 If a course is closed by the time your application is processed, you will have the opportunity to add yourself to the waitlist for eligible courses.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/registrar\/student-handbook\/\"><strong>Georgetown Law Student Handbook of Academic Policies<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is the Law Center\u2019s official publication of academic rules.\u00a0 Non-Degree students must satisfy the same academic requirements and abide by the same Law Center rules and policies.\u00a0 Please be aware that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/registrar\/academic-calendars\/\">Georgetown Law\u2019s academic calendar<\/a>\u00a0may be different than your home school\u2019s academic calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Exam schedules are listed in the course schedule, which is available through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/curriculum.law.georgetown.edu\/course-search\/\">Georgetown Law Curriculum Guide<\/a>.\u00a0 You may find additional information regarding exam policies and procedures on the Office of the Registrar\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/registrar\/general-exam-information\/\">General Exam Information webpage.<\/a>\u00a0 It is important that you review the exam schedule when making your course selections.\u00a0 It is not the responsibility of Georgetown Law to change our exam schedule, nor of your professors to submit grades earlier than our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/registrar\/academic-honors\/grades\/\">faculty grading deadlines<\/a>, in order to accommodate your home school\u2019s deadlines.\u00a0 Please do not ask us to make any exceptions.<\/p>\n<h3>Immunization Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>Please refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studenthealth.georgetown.edu\/medical-care\/services-4\/immunization\/\">Student Health Services webpage<\/a>\u00a0for information regarding immunizations and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studenthealthinsurance.georgetown.edu\/\">Student Health Insurance\u00a0<\/a>webpage for information regarding insurance coverage.\u00a0 All incoming students regardless of age are required to log on to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/georgetown.studenthealthportal.com\/\">Georgetown Student Health Portal<\/a>\u00a0to enter required information.\u00a0 Students registered for 8 or more credits per semester must have medical insurance coverage for the entire academic year.<\/p>\n<h3>Tuition<\/h3>\n<p>Students should contact the Office of Student Accounts at (202) 662-9057, by <a href=\"mailto:myaccount@law.georgetown.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"cx_external_link\"><span class=\"cx_external_hyperlink\">email<\/span><span class=\"visually_hide\">(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><span class=\"cx_external_icon\"><\/span><\/a> or visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/your-life-career\/campus-services\/student-accounts\/\">Office of Student Accounts website <\/a>for specific tuition information.<\/p>\n<p>Non-Degree J.D. students are not eligible for loans or other aid through Georgetown Law.<\/p>\n<h3>Withdrawal After Enrollment<\/h3>\n<p>If your plans change and you decide not to attend classes,\u00a0<strong>you must submit written notice of withdrawal to the Office of the Registrar<\/strong>\u00a0via email to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:lawreg@georgetown.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"cx_external_link\"><span class=\"cx_external_hyperlink\">lawreg@georgetown.edu<\/span><span class=\"visually_hide\">(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><span class=\"cx_external_icon\"><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in order for your tuition charges to be cancelled and any appropriate refund to be processed.\u00a0 It is your responsibility to meet the withdrawal regulations and deadlines in order to be properly withdrawn without an administrative failure or loss of eligible refund.<\/p>\n<p>Notice of withdrawal to any office other than the Office of the Registrar does not constitute sufficient notice for refund\/credit purposes.
