{"id":13745,"date":"2019-06-18T13:11:58","date_gmt":"2019-06-18T17:11:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/?page_id=51076"},"modified":"2025-05-12T15:17:44","modified_gmt":"2025-05-12T15:17:44","slug":"instructions-for-accepting-a-waitlist-seat","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/registrar\/course-registration\/preparing-for-registration\/instructions-for-accepting-a-waitlist-seat\/","title":{"rendered":"Instructions for Accepting a Waitlist Seat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Waitlist Lotteries will run each weekday (excluding holidays) at 4PM ET as seats become available.\u00a0 See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/registrar\/course-registration\/preparing-for-registration\/registration-timeline\/\">Registration Timeline<\/a>. <em>If you win a waitlist seat, you will receive notification from BANWAITLIST@georgetown.edu and you must claim your seat in MyAccess by the 23-hour claim deadline provided in the email. <\/em>Non-responsive students will lose their seat and will forfeit that seat to the next student on the waitlist.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To claim a winning seat(s), go to the \u2018Add or Drop Courses\u2019 page on the registration menu and choose \u2018Web Register\u2019 from the action menu and click \u2018Submit Changes\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>If you have successfully accepted your winning waitlist seat, this course will now appear in your current schedule with a status of \u201cRegistered.\u201d <strong>If you fail to claim your waitlist seat via MyAccess before the claim deadline, you must re-add yourself to the waitlist following the directions provided in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/?page_id=51068&amp;preview=true\">How to Add\/Drop\/Waitlist Courses<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Waitlist Lotteries will run each weekday (excluding holidays) at 4PM ET as seats become available.\u00a0 See Registration Timeline.
