Lieutenant Colonel Mobley commissioned into the United States Air Force in 2009 after having graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO as an acquisitions program manager. In 2012, Lieutenant Colonel Mobley was selected to become an Assistant Professor for Aerospace Studies at AFROTC Detachment 610, University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND. Lieutenant Colonel Mobley would hold the titles of Education Flight Commander and Operations Flight Commander while assigned to Detachment 610. In 2019, Lieutenant Colonel Mobley transitioned back to the United States Air Force Academy, CO as an Instructor (later Senior Instructor) of Geosciences, where he taught Geopolitics and World Cultural Geography courses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lieutenant Colonel Mobley holds a Bachelor of Science in Law from the United States Air Force Academy, a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Dakota, and a Master of Arts in Geography from the University of California, Los Angeles.\u00a0 While at UCLA, Lieutenant Colonel Mobley researched geopolitics and queer migration under his advisor Dr. Adam Moore. He is currently enrolled in the Juris Doctor program at Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, DC. Lieutenant Colonel Mobley\u2019s military education includes Air and Space Basic Course, Squadron Officer School, and Air Command and Staff College. Lieutenant Colonel Mobley is DAWIA Level II certified in program management.\u00a0 He also holds a PMP certification.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><b>Jacob Kopnick, L\u201927<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Jacob Kopnick hails from Janesville, WI and graduated in 2020 from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). Prior to joining the law school, he was living in the land of beer and cheese, first working remotely as an intern at CSIS on international trade matters and then as a legal reporter covering international trade litigation in the U.S. and at the WTO. Jacob continues his reporting duties by day while running through the gamut of first-year law school courses. He is incredibly grateful to be studying at Georgetown, where there is a seemingly never-ending slate of amazing speakers and events covering every facet of the law along with engaging student groups (like the Society for Trade and International Development!) in which to take part. Jacob is a sports fanatic and can often be found cheering on his hometown Packers, Bucks, Brewers and, of course, 2023 national champion Michigan Wolverines. He also is a massive sci-fi\/fantasy reader so please reach out to regale in the glory that is J.J. They just welcomed their daughter Eleni in July. Sean has been stationed in Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia and has experience supporting nuclear mission planning, B-52 bomber ops, joint special operations, and most recently diplomatic travel as the senior intelligence officer for Office of the President airlift. Sean also has four deployments with special operations that have been incredibly rewarding for him. He is currently assigned to the Pentagon, which keeps him in the D.C. area so that he can continue law school in the evenings.\u00a0 Sean has been involved with the Military Law Society (he\u2019s the evening section Vice President) and National Security Law Society and their events. The most enjoyable part of Sean\u2019s law school experience has been hanging out with his Section 7 classmates outside of class. Since then, she has worked at Cisco on their People &amp; Communities team as an Employee Relations Consultant. At Georgetown, Sarah has enjoyed serving as a Peer Tutor and Peer Advisor. She also volunteered with the Southeast Louisiana Legal Services through the New Orleans Legal Alliance during spring break in 2023. Sarah comes from a big family. She is the middle child of five and has two older sisters and two younger brothers. During the day, Darby works part-time for a family real estate business and interned at the Appellate Court of Maryland during her 2E year. In addition to being a veteran, she is a military spouse to a Navy doctor and mom to three kiddos and a dog. On campus, Darby is co-President of the Military Law Society and worked as a summer research associate for the Annual Review of Criminal Procedure. In her (limited) free time, she enjoys any opportunity to be out on the water with her family around the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Riti has worked in diverse work environments including the set of a reality TV show, Congress, and the broadcasting department of a think tank. In her free time, she enjoys biking, learning Hindi and Urdu, and doodling. Janie is originally from New York but has called the D.C. area home for the past 14 years. Originally moving here for undergrad at GW, she has spent her career working in the sanctions and export controls space at the U.S. Treasury Department, Sayari, and now at Amazon. Janie loves reading fantasy novels, doing yoga, and crocheting. He currently serves as Special Assistant to the Administrator and Chief of Staff at NASA, supporting executive decision-making, high-level briefings and operations, and coordination across the agency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prior to joining NASA, Coby served as Special Assistant to the President of Georgetown University and held additional positions in both the public and private sectors. Coby earned his Bachelor of Science in International Business from the University of Maryland\u2019s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is also proficient in Portuguese, having studied it through college and lived in Brazil for two years. On campus, Luke is a Georgetown Center for the Constitution Bradley Scholar and serves on the American Criminal Law Review as an Executive Editor for the Annual Survey of White Collar Crime. Off campus, Luke works as a CPA, CFE, and forensic consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), specializing in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) assessments, internal control framework design and implementation, and data analytics for federal contractors. In 2024, Luke externed as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the District of Maryland. A proud Southern California native, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy was a presidential appointee in the Biden-Harris Administration, where he served as Deputy Press Secretary for Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and the Department of Energy. In this role, he helped to advance President Biden\u2019s clean energy and climate agenda and ensure the administration\u2019s priorities were promoted fairly and accurately to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy also served as Deputy Press Secretary to U.S. Senator Joe Manchin and the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, where he helped develop communications initiatives and messaging strategies for some of the most significant energy legislation of the last several decades\u2014including the Energy Act of 2020, the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the historic Inflation Reduction Act.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy previously served as an elected delegate for the California Democratic Party for his home assembly district. During his time on Capitol Hill, Jeremy served as Professional Development Director for the Congressional Hispanic Staff Association, where he actively worked to recruit, retain, and advance Latino staffers in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. On campus, Norman has been involved with the Black Law Student Association and serves as President of the Filipino Law Association of Georgetown (FLAG) and on the board of the Law Students for Justice in Palestine (LSJP).<\/p>\n<p>Norman is local to the DMV, being originally from Maryland, but has previously lived in Rhode Island and Georgia. He is a proud double Hoya and previously attended Georgetown University where he earned his undergraduate degrees in both Government and African American Studies.
