Home to the nation\u2019s leading academic program in technology law and policy, Georgetown Law is the ideal place for this innovative degree.<\/p>\n<p>Created as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/tech-institute\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"cx_external_link\"><span class=\"cx_external_hyperlink\">Institute for Technology Law &amp; Policy<\/span><span class=\"visually_hide\">(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><span class=\"cx_external_icon\"><\/span><\/a>, the Technology Law &amp; Policy Program at Georgetown Law offers two graduate degrees \u2013 the LL.M. in Technology Law &amp; Policy and <a href=\"https:\/\/curriculum.law.georgetown.edu\/llm\/llm-programs-non-lawyers\/masters-law-technology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"cx_external_link\"><span class=\"cx_external_hyperlink\">Master of Law and Technology<\/span><span class=\"visually_hide\">(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><span class=\"cx_external_icon\"><\/span><\/a>, a master&#8217;s degree program designed for non-lawyers. The first LL.M. cohort began classes in Fall 2020.<\/p>\n<p>More than ever, lawyers and policymakers need a deep understanding of technology and the legal frameworks around it. Law firms are building specialized practices to meet increased legal demands around data security, privacy, artificial intelligence, fintech, and emerging technologies. Elected officials and government agencies require well-grounded counsel to update tech law and regulations.
