{"id":2553,"date":"2017-07-07T15:11:46","date_gmt":"2017-07-07T19:11:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/admissions-aid\/graduate-admissions\/scholarships-fellowships\/international-arbitration-scholars\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T13:58:58","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T13:58:58","slug":"international-arbitration-scholars","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/admissions-aid\/graduate-admissions\/scholarships-fellowships\/international-arbitration-scholars\/","title":{"rendered":"International Arbitration Scholars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Body\" style=\"text-align: center\" align=\"center\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Georgetown Law &#8211; Young ICCA Scholarship<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\" style=\"text-align: center\" align=\"center\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Georgetown Law, in collaboration with Young ICCA, is pleased to announce the creation of a new scholarship programme, designed to offer Young ICCA members the possibility of being awarded a full tuition fee scholarship to attend the Georgetown Law LL.M. as a specialist International Arbitration Scholar, commencing in the academic year 2026-2027.\u00a0<b>The Georgetown Law \u2013<\/b> <b>Young ICCA Scholarship covers full tuition fees in the 2026-27 academic year<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>ICCA, the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, is a worldwide non-governmental organisation devoted to promoting the use of, and improving the processes of, arbitration, conciliation and other forms of dispute resolution. As part of its commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in international arbitration, ICCA established Young ICCA, a leading arbitration network for young practitioners and students, dedicated to promoting the use of arbitration by introducing new practitioners from all corners of the globe to the field. The organisation continues to open the doors of international arbitration through four key areas of activity: Skills Training Workshops, the Mentoring Programme, Scholarships and a Magazine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Georgetown Law \u2013 Young ICCA Scholarship programme will be awarded to one of the incoming academic year\u2019s selected International Arbitration Scholars, providing them with the opportunity to participate in special networking events during their studies, develop a research topic on an area of international arbitration and produce a paper of publishable quality under the supervision of an international disputes-focused professor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Candidates for the Georgetown Law \u2013 Young ICCA Scholarship must be: (i) Young ICCA members; (ii) have submitted their application for admission to the Georgetown LL.M. program through the required application platform; (iii) have applied for the International Arbitration Scholars programme stating why they deserve to be awarded the scholarship; and (iv) been selected for admission to the LL.M. programme by Georgetown Law. The Georgetown Law \u2013 Young ICCA Scholarship will be awarded based on the merits of the candidate and their anticipated contribution to the development of international arbitration and the goals of Young ICCA, which is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in international arbitration.<\/p>\n<p>The application deadline for the Georgetown Law \u2013 Young ICCA Scholarship is the same as the regular application deadline for admission to the Georgetown Law LL.M. (i.e., the last date for compliant applications having been Thursday, 5 February 2026).
