If you currently hold an active Form I-20 or Form DS-2019, you must transfer your F-1 or J-1 immigration record from your previous institution to Georgetown Law before starting your studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

You must submit your completed <\/span>Applicant Information Form<\/span><\/span>(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/span><\/a> with SEVIS transfer information and supporting transfer documents into the International Student Portal <\/span>no later than 2 weeks prior to your program start date listed on the <\/b>Proof of Funding<\/b><\/span>(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/span><\/a> page<\/b>. However, the date your SEVIS record is released to Georgetown Law can be after this deadline. You may finish current semester coursework or post-completion training with your current institution.<\/span><\/p>\n

F-1 students are eligible to initiate transfer of their SEVIS record up to 60 days following the end date listed on their current Form I-20 or Post-Completion OPT EAD card. The Georgetown Law F-1 SEVIS School Code is <\/span>WAS214F00001001<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

J-1 students must initiate transfer of their SEVIS record before the program end date listed on their current Form DS-2019. The Georgetown University J-1 SEVIS Program Number is <\/span>P-1-01850<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
