Georgetown Law’s ability to accommodate visiting students is limited, and admission is granted on a competitive, space-available basis.

The Visiting Student Program is designed for law students currently enrolled at other ABA-accredited law schools who are interested in taking 8 or more credit hours of courses. Visiting students will earn credit for transfer to their degree-granting institution. Both fall and spring semester and full-year visit options are available. Students may visit as full-time or evening students.

Current students who are interested in taking fewer than 8 credit hours should apply for admission to the Non-Degree JD Program through the Office of the Registrar.

Attorneys who wish to take courses in a particular field should apply for admission to the Non-Degree Graduate Program through the Office of the Registrar.

JD/LL.M in Taxation for Visiting Students

Students entering their final year of studies may apply for admission to the Law Center’s J.D./LL.M.
