Georgetown Law Closed: Wednesday, March 21

The Law Center is closed today, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, due to inclement weather. All activities and services, including scheduled events (student organization meetings and events, CLE, and conferences), are canceled. On-site classes will not be held in person and will be held according to the faculty member’s instructional continuity plan. All administrative offices are closed. The food services operation, fitness center and Early Learning Center are closed. The library is closed. It is expected that only designated emergency employees will come to the Law Center to fulfill their responsibilities. All others -- including students, staff, faculty, and visitors -- are expected not come to the Law Center, which will not be staffed to support anything other than essential life safety and snow/ice clearing functions.

Georgetown Law accepts transfer applications to begin in the fall and spring semester.  Applicants may apply Early Action or Regular Action (Fall semester only).

Application Deadlines for Spring 2018 Admission

  • September 15: Begin accepting applications for Spring 2018 admission
  • November 1: Transfer Deadline for Spring 2018

Application Deadlines for Fall 2018 Admission

  • February 1: Begin accepting applications for Fall 2018
  • March 15: Early Action Transfer Deadline for Fall 2018
  • June 15: Transfer Deadline for Fall 2018
Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply early. Especially for the Regular Action cycle, we recommend submitting all available application materials as soon as possible, even if you are waiting for your law transcript. Submitting your Regular Action application early and then submitting your law transcript after all of your first-year grades are available will allow our office to complete your application file more quickly. Because we have a rolling admissions process, it is to your advantage to complete your application as early as possible in the application cycle.
