Georgetown Law Open on Time
The Law Center will open on time FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2015, but liberal leave is in effect. All designated emergency employees must report to work on time. All other employees may take unscheduled leave, but should contact their supervisor to discuss the needs of their unit and individual circumstances. Unless otherwise notified, classes will begin at their normal time. Instructional Continuity is in effect for the faculty members that wish to exercise it.
Rain Site Arrangements
In Case of Rain
In the event of rain, the Law Center Main Ceremony will be held indoors in McDonough Arena at 2 p.m. There is limited indoor seating and tickets are required for guests attending the main ceremony. Guests without tickets for the Main Ceremony Rain Site can be seated and view the ceremony on televisions from a tented area near the McDonough Arena. All guests can attend the 3 p.m. Diploma Presentation Ceremonies without a ticket.
University officials will announce a "rain call" by noon on the Sunday of Commencement regarding whether the Main Ceremony will take place indoors.

Rain Site Ticket Distribution
Graduating students may pick up 2 rain site tickets in McDonough 171, beginning the week following Spring Break, specific start date TBA. Tickets must be claimed in person by the graduate presenting their GoCard, in the Office of Student Life. This first round of rain site ticket distribution will continue for three (3) weeks. There is no charge for the Guest Rain Site tickets, and graduates do not need a ticket for themselves. Tickets not claimed within the first round period of three weeks will be forfeited.
A second round of the rain site tickets will be distributed the day following the close of the first round, specific date TBA. At this time, graduates can pick up two (2) additional rain site tickets for commencement, again at no charge. The second round is very limited in number and will be conducted on a first come, first served basis.
If graduates do not pick up their first 2 rain site tickets before the end of the first round ends, they will only be able to pick up a maximum of 2 rain site tickets, even if they are coming in for the first time.
Graduating students that are currently living outside the D.C. metro area can make alternate arrangements for their tickets by contacting Lisa Maloney, Office Manager, in the Office of Student Life at 202-662-9292 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
