The Initiative for Public Interest at Yale invites 3Ls and recent law school graduates to apply for a 2015-2016 grant/fellowship. The deadline to submit applications for one-year grants of up to $35,000, to be awarded in summer of 2015, is March 8, 2015.
The Initiative is a non-profit organization that provides start-up money for projects that protect the legal rights of inadequately represented groups. We generally fund projects on which the applicant will work full time, after graduation from law school. Please note that the Initiative seeks to fund individuals who are launching new projects, not to provide funding for ongoing work at existing organizations.
