Amtrak is seeking 1L and 2L candidates for a paid Summer
2012 Law Clerk position. Law Clerks report to the Deputy General Counsel and Solicitor
General, Litigation but have the opportunity to work with attorneys across all
of the Law Department’s practice groups. Amtrak’s Law Department practice
includes federal and state court litigation, administrative litigation,
arbitration proceedings, drafting contracts, developing legal corporate
guidelines and advising corporate clients. Principal practice areas
include labor and employment, litigation, commercial contracts, intellectual
property, compliance with federal/state laws and regulations (environmental,
transportation, etc.), real estate transactions, and torts.
Law clerks are
expected to work full-time during the 2012 summer and part-time during the
2012-2013 school year (15-20 hours per week). To apply, please submit a
