LATAM Arbitration Day convened two panels: Foreign Investment, New Tendencies in International Arbitration and Sustainable Development, and Arbitration involving State-Owned Entities.<br \/>\nCAROLA\u2019s Director, Prof. \u00c1lvaro Santos, spoke at the first panel along with Georgetown Law\u2019s Prof. Katrin Kuhlmann and Prof. Jose Antonio Rivas. This panel focused on how foreign investment evolved in Latin America; how countries in the region can attract investment while promoting sustainable development; the definition of sustainable development; and current trends in treaty drafting.
