{"id":250,"date":"2018-12-05T11:44:29","date_gmt":"2018-12-05T16:44:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/constitution-center\/?page_id=250"},"modified":"2026-02-09T09:05:41","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T14:05:41","slug":"originalism-summer-seminar","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/constitution-center\/originalism-summer-seminar\/","title":{"rendered":"Originalism Summer Seminar"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Originalism Summer Seminar<\/h2>\n<p>The Georgetown Center for the Constitution will offer a week-long \u201cBoot Camp\u201d on originalism in theory and practice, open to students and recent graduates (within 5 years) from all law schools.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar takes place each May and begins with an opening reception followed by academic sessions taking place each day of the week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd1P0yif6V8kNsPXEzWe6XnnFkJuL8KgDr3uDLOeZey7MtbBg\/viewform?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=106035389865688126460\">application to the 2026 Originalism Summer Seminar<\/a> is available now. The deadline to apply is <b>Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:59pm EST.\u00a0<\/b><i><b>Preference will be given to applicants who have accepted clerkships that commence in 2026 and beyond, with consideration for highly qualified candidates in relevant fields.<\/b><\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"typography\">Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Current law students who will have completed their first year of law school by the start of the program or recent graduates (within 5 years);
