He earned his bachelor\u2019s degree <em>summa cum laude<\/em>\u00a0from Princeton University, his JD\u00a0<em>cum laude<\/em>\u00a0from Harvard Law School, where he was the Articles Co-Chair of the\u00a0<em>Harvard Law Review<\/em>, and his PhD in philosophy from Harvard University. After law school, Ahson clerked for Judge Amalya Kearse on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ahson\u2019s practice includes antitrust, securities, and complex commercial litigation in both federal and state courts, where he has tried cases before juries and in bench trials. His academic research focuses on statutory torts in the securities law context, and on the Supreme Court\u2019s business law jurisprudence more generally. His prior work in private law theory has been published by Oxford University Press and the Journal of Tort Law, and his article-in-progress on causation in the law was recently selected for the 2025 Harvard\/Yale\/Stanford Junior Faculty Forum.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ahson Azmat is Of Counsel at Paul Hastings LLP and an adjunct professor of law at Fordham Law School.
