2026 – 2027 Bradley Scholars Program<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Georgetown Center for the Constitution will award scholarships of $3,000 to eight students with exceptional credentials, a passion for the Constitution, and a keen interest in originalism. The application is open to 1L, 2L, 1E, 2E, and 3E (who will be enrolled in both semesters of their 4E year) Georgetown Law students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the 2026-2027 academic year, Bradley Scholars will receive unique access to constitutional scholars, programs, and training. For instance, Bradley Scholars are guaranteed a spot in the Georgetown Center for the Constitution\u2019s exceptionally competitive <\/span>Originalism Summer Seminar <\/b>in May of 2026. <\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, scholars are special guests of the Center for the Constitution at its annual Thomas M. Cooley Judicial Lecture at the National Archives. In addition to these exclusive opportunities, Bradley Scholars also attend the Center\u2019s <\/span>Student Fellows Program events<\/span><\/a> during the school year (unless prevented by a conflict) and conclude the year by writing a brief summary of how the scholarship enhanced their legal education and is likely to influence their future careers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applications for the 2026 – 2027 Bradley Scholars Program are now open<\/a>. The deadline to apply is\u00a011:59 PM EST on Friday, February 20, 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n

Chris Abbott<\/strong>\"\"
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chris is a rising 3L at Georgetown Law with a focus on international law and policy. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Chris graduated magna cum laude from American University in 2019 and later obtained his MA in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to law school, Chris served in the Trump Administration as the Deputy Director of the White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, and later as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Manufacturing, where Chris managed 50 federal employees tasked with monitoring and strengthening supply chains for a wide range of manufactured goods. This summer, Chris
\nwill be a Summer Associate at Wiley Rein.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chris Kerrane is a rising 3L at Georgetown University Law Center. At Georgetown, Chris has been a Law Fellow, constitutional law Research Assistant, Bradley Scholar, Business Law Scholar, and “CFLO” Vice President. Chris has also externed at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary. Originally from Long Island, New York, Chris graduated from Fordham University, summa cum laude, in 2022. <\/span><\/p>\n

Madeline Malone
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Madeline is a rising 3L and an incoming Summer Associate at Gibson Dunn DC. After spending most of her life using the right side of her brain in the performing arts (graduating with a B.S. in Worship Studies after spending a year touring with a professional dance company), Madeline’s interest in law was first piqued when her dad’s water balloon filling invention, Bunch o Balloons, was knocked off and her family was thrust into years of litigation. Since then, Madeline has worked with US Inventor to advocate for inventor rights, served as a scheduler for Congressman Thomas Massie, and found her home at Georgetown. After a 1L summer internship with the Hon. Neomi Rao on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, Madeline is now exploring an interest in appellate litigation and will clerk for the Honorable Lawrence VanDyke on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 2026.<\/p>\n

Brady Marzen<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Brady<\/p>\n

Brady is a rising third-year student. He currently serves as a full-time staff law clerk for the U.S. House Committee on Ways and Means. In this role, he focuses on the impeachment inquiry into President Joseph R. Biden and on the Committee\u2019s ongoing oversight and procedural work. Brady served on Speaker Kevin McCarthy\u2019s staff and interned for the Honorable Stephen A. Vaden of the U.S. Court of International Trade. On campus, he is the President of the Conservative and Libertarian Student Association, a Bradley Fellow of the Georgetown Center for the Constitution, and the Director of Events for the Federalist Society chapter. Prior to law school, he worked for former Governor Chris Christie, interned for the White House National Economic Council and National Security Council, and served as Chair of the D.C. Federation of College Republicans.
\nBrady is a New York City native and a graduate of the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service.<\/p>\n

Anthony Paranzino
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Anthony Paranzino is a rising 3L at the Georgetown University Law Center. Anthony serves as Articles Editor for The Georgetown Law Journal and is a member of the Trial Advocacy Division of Georgetown’s Barristers’ Council. Before law school, Anthony spent eight years in economic research and public policy advocacy, which included roles at the White House, the Commerce Department, a non-profit think tank, and a government affairs firm. He received his A.B. from Princeton University.”<\/p>\n

Megan Sherwin\"\"
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Megan is a rising 3L. A native Texan, Megan attended Texas A&M University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in political science. Megan spent her 1L summer as a judicial intern for the Honorable Richard J. Leon on the District Court for the District of Columbia. She is spending her 2L summer at the Texas Solicitor General\u2019s office, where she looks forward to working on appellate matters for the greatest state in the nation. Megan is on the Georgetown Law Journal, where she serves as an Executive Editor of the Annual Review of Criminal Procedure (ARCP).<\/p>\n

Mathias Valenta<\/b><\/p>\n

Mathias Valenta is currently a rising 2L. Mathias had an\"\"
\ninternational upbringing, dividing his childhood between Paris, Vienna,
\nand Los Angeles before attending Wesleyan University where he majored in European History and German Studies. After college, Mathias received an MA in European History, Politics, and Society from Columbia University in New York. As a law student, Mathias has a deep interest in the Constitution and the exploration of history as an interpretive tool for understanding constitutional text. At Georgetown, Mathias is an active member of the Federalist Society.<\/p>\n

Yousef Ziyadi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yousef Ziyadi is a rising 3L, and graduated from G\"\"eorgetown University in 2022. He is the current Delegate of Diversity and Inclusion for the American Bar Association’s Law Student Division, and, at the Law Center, he is the Director of Community Development for the Georgetown University Law Center’s Muslim Law Student Association (MLSA). During his Spring 2024 semester, Yousef externed with the New Civil Liberties Alliance. Last summer, he served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable John M. Gallagher of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and has been serving as a Legal Intern to the General Counsel of Aston Martin.<\/p>\n
