2027 – 2028 Bradley Scholars Program<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Georgetown Center for the Constitution will award scholarships of $3,000 to eight students with exceptional credentials, a passion for the Constitution, and a keen interest in originalism. The application is open to 1L, 2L, 1E, 2E, and 3E (who will be enrolled in both semesters of their 4E year) Georgetown Law students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the 2027-2028 academic year, Bradley Scholars will receive unique access to constitutional scholars, programs, and training. For instance, Bradley Scholars are guaranteed a spot in the Georgetown Center for the Constitution\u2019s exceptionally competitive <\/span>Originalism Summer Seminar <\/b>in May of 2027. <\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, scholars are special guests of the Center for the Constitution at its annual Thomas M. Cooley Judicial Lecture at the National Archives. In addition to these exclusive opportunities, Bradley Scholars also attend the Center\u2019s <\/span>Student Fellows Program events<\/span><\/a> during the school year (unless prevented by a conflict) and conclude the year by writing a brief summary of how the scholarship enhanced their legal education and is likely to influence their future careers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Frank Yang<\/strong>\"\"
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Frank is a rising 3L at Georgetown Law who will be splitting this upcoming summer between Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Wiley Rein in Washington, D.C. Frank is the managing editor of the 25th Volume of the Georgetown Journal of Law & Public Policy, the Director of the 75th Annual Beaudry Moot Court Competition, and a senior research assistant for the Supreme Court Institute. He is a also proud double Hoya, having graduated from Georgetown University in 2024, where he majored in linguistics and minored in Portuguese, and has been published in a major linguistics journal. Frank is originally from Brooklyn, NY, and is an avid Yankees fan. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sara Ballou\"\"
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A New York City native, Sara Ballou is a second-year student at Georgetown University Law Center, where she received the $200,000 Barry F. Schwartz Opportunity Scholarship.\u00a0 Sara serves as President of the Federalist Society, Senior Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Law and Public Policy, and Visiting Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy.\u00a0 She is also a Research Assistant to Professor Randy Barnett on his forthcoming book and a Bob Horn Fellow at the Republican National Lawyers Association.\u00a0 Sara spent last summer as a Law Clerk in the office of White House Counsel and is an incoming Summer Associate in Milbank\u2019s New York City office.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before law school, Sara built a career at the intersection of politics, policy, and media.\u00a0 After graduating from Gettysburg College, she served as Chief of Staff to a New York State Legislator and managed federal political campaigns, including an NRCC top pick-up seat.\u00a0 As a political consultant, Sara advised candidates of every level on strategy and fundraising.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sara also spent several years as a Digital Producer and Reporter for Fox News and Fox Business, where she broke leading stories on major international conflicts, including reporting on the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.\u00a0 She brings a combination of political, legal, and journalistic experience to her work as a Bradley Scholar.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her free time, Sara enjoys high-altitude mountaineering, playing piano, and learning foreign languages.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jonathan Evans
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jonathan is a rising 2L at Georgetown University Law Center. He will be a judicial intern for Judge Jason Park on the D.C. Superior Court this summer, and will be a Summer Associate at Davis Polk in 2027. He graduated first class from Oxford University studying Mathematics and Philosophy. Before going to law school, Jonathan taught mathematics in China. In his spare time, he enjoys playing Go and is ranked AGA 2 dan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Donald Roveto<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Donald Roveto is a rising 2L and incoming 2027 Summer Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell. A New York native, he graduated from Georgetown University, where he captained the Men’s Lightweight Rowing team and competed in the boat that won the 2025 National Championship in the Men’s LWT 4+. His scholarship has appeared in both the Harvard and Duke undergraduate law reviews. This summer, Donald will intern at the Montana Solicitor General’s Office, working on appellate matters of national significance. Prior to law school, he spent a year as an intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Erin Reynolds
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"\"Erin is a rising 2L at Georgetown University Law Center. Originally from Missouri, she graduated <\/span>summa cum laude<\/span><\/i> from the University of Missouri with degrees in Political Science, Constitutional Democracy, and Psychology. At Georgetown, Erin serves as a Research Assistant for Professor Stephanie Barclay, indulging her interest in constitutional law and interpretation. During her 1L summer, Erin will intern for Judge Trevor McFadden on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and she will spend her 2L summer working as a Summer Associate at Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C. Following graduation, Erin will clerk for Judge Patrick Bumatay on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gabrielle Evans\"\"
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gabrielle Evans is a rising third-year student at Georgetown University Law Center. Gabrielle graduated from the University of Virginia in 2024 where she double majored in Government and English and interned for former Virginia Governor Youngkin. After her first year of law school, she worked for the Honorable John Marshall at the Henrico Circuit Court. Gabrielle serves as the Senior Symposium Editor for American Criminal Law Review. She is also a Bradley scholar for the Georgetown Center for the Constitution and an active member of the Federalist Society. She will be spending her 2L summer at Dentons’ Washington D.C. office in their commercial litigation group.<\/span><\/p>\n

Owen Voutsinas-Klose\"\"
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Owen is a rising 4E and Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs at Viohl & Associates, a multistate advocacy and policy consulting firm in Washington, D.C., where he advises clients on healthcare regulation, state legislative strategy, and Medicaid policy. Following graduation, Owen will clerk for the Honorable David A. Bragdon of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. His experience also includes a Summer Associate position at Covington & Burling’s D.C. office and, prior to law school, work as an aide in the New York State Senate. Originally from Nyack, New York, Owen graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.<\/span><\/p>\n

J. Menashe Shapiro\"\"
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Rabbi J. Menashe Shapiro is a rising 3L at the Georgetown University Law Center. On campus, Menashe serves as the Submissions Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Law & Public Policy, a research assistant for Professor Stephanie Barclay, and the Vice President for Advocacy of the Jewish Law Students Association. Beyond Georgetown, Menashe is an active member of the Federalist Society and is an Executive Editor for the Symposia Volume of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. Menashe has interned for the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, & Transportation, the U.S. Senate Republican Policy Committee, the New Civil Liberties Alliance, and the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty. In his spare time, you can catch Menashe at a local gun range, studying Talmud, or spending time with his wife and their four children. A native Ohioan, Menashe will clerk for the Honorable R. Patrick DeWine of the Supreme Court of Ohio after law school.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
