The Georgetown University Law Center 2022 Juris Doctor Orientation Program is presented by the Office of the Dean of Students (ODOS) and Office of Student Life (OSL).
The August 2022 J.D. Orientation program will introduce you to Georgetown Law, your classmates, the faculty, and the legal profession. Orientation Week includes registration and several other mandatory sessions – including your first class in one of your Fall 2022 classes – as well as many optional social events and faculty presentations.
We look forward to welcoming you as a new member of our community in August!
Orientation Schedule
Full-time first year J.D. students should plan to participate in Orientation programming that will take place over the course of Wednesday, August 24th through Friday, August 26th. Each of the five full-time sections will have a different schedule over those days.
Part-time first year J.D. students should plan to participate in Orientation programming on the evenings of Tuesday, August 23rd and Wednesday, August 24th.
Along with the handful of required programs for each section, we also are planning a wide range of optional social events, wellness activities and faculty presentations throughout the entire orientation week (Aug. 22-26). Most students choose to participate in several or many of these optional programs, as they are a great way to get to know peers, faculty and staff.
