The Juvenile Defense and Policy Fellowship Program was founded by Dean William Treanor in 2013 to aid in the expansion of the work of the Juvenile Justice Clinic.

The Fellow’s responsibilities are wide-ranging and include project management, legal research and writing, resource coordination for the Mid-Atlantic Juvenile Defender Center, technical assistance and training support for juvenile defenders practicing locally and in the Mid-Atlantic region, web development, grant writing and fundraising for the expanding work of the clinic, and representing clients in the sealing of records, school disciplinary hearings and delinquency cases in the second year.
