When completing the application, you will need to provide the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The name of the field placement organization where you completed your first externship for credit;<\/li>\n<li>The semester or summer session in which you completed your first externship;<\/li>\n<li>The name of your proposed, second field placement organization;<\/li>\n<li>The name of the companion seminar that you participated in during your first externship<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and <\/span><\/li>\n<li>How your fieldwork in your second externship will differ SUBSTANTIVELY and SUBSTANTIALLY from the work you conducted at your first externship. Specifically:\n<ul>\n<li>How will your learning goals differ?<\/li>\n<li>How will your responsibilities differ?<\/li>\n<li>How will your work be more challenging?<\/li>\n<li>What new knowledge will you acquire?<\/li>\n<li>What new skills will you develop?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon reaching a decision on a student\u2019s second externship request, the student will be notified accordingly via email.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>J.D. students who want to participate in a second externship for academic credit must request permission to do so through the Externship Application.
