Maura L. DeMouy<\/b><\/h2>\n

Assistant Dean for Experiential Education<\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

Maura L. DeMouy is the Assistant Dean for Experiential Education, Executive Director for the Law Center\u2019s\u00a0RISE<\/span>(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0Program for students with less exposure to the law and the legal profession and DC Affordable Law Firm’s LLM Training Director. Assistant Dean DeMouy oversees development, scheduling and management of all non-clinical experiential courses for the Law Center, including its\u00a0practicum courses<\/span>(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0upper-division simulation courses<\/span>(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0First-Year Experiential Week One courses,<\/span>(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0externship courses<\/span>(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/span><\/a>. She develops the externship seminar curriculum and other training and guidance on pedagogy for adjunct faculty. She also advises students, staff and faculty about experiential learning.<\/p>\n

She grew up in a suburb of Washington, D.C. After graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Catherine C. Blake on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and then practiced law for over five years, last at Hogan & Hartson (now\u00a0HoganLovells<\/span>(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/span><\/a>).\u00a0 After leaving private practice, Maura taught legal research, writing and critical thinking skills at University of Maryland\u2019s law school (UMD Law), coordinated programming to prepare students for legal practice through the LEAD Initiative and taught in UMD Law\u2019s Women, Leadership and Equality program. Immediately prior to coming to Georgetown Law, she was Dean of Students at the Catholic University of America\u2019s law school.<\/p>\n

In 2022, she was recognized as one of\u00a0Women We Admire\u2019s Top 50 Women Leaders for DC<\/span>(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><\/span><\/a>. When not at the Law Center, you might find her hiking with her sons, taking her dogs Jasmine and Tully for walks or racing a triathlon.<\/p>\n

Juliana Siconolfi<\/b><\/h2>\n

Senior Director for Experiential Education<\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

Juliana is the Law Center’s Senior Director of Experiential Education and an Adjunct Professor of Law. In her role, she helps to manage the Law Center\u2019s non-clinical experiential programs; specifically, the J.D. Externship Program, practica, and simulation courses. She also previously served as the team\u2019s Acting Assistant Dean for Experiential Education. Juliana earned her B.A. in Political Science and Spanish,\u00a0magna cum laude<\/em>, from Bates College, and her J.D. from Boston College Law School.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the Office of Experiential Education, Juliana held a number of different positions with The George Washington University Law School Field Placement Program, including as an inaugural Visiting Associate Professor of Clinical Law and Friedman Fellow; Acting Director; and a Professorial Lecturer in Law. She has presented on externship program pedagogy and other topics at conferences, and has written blog posts on a variety of professionalism themes. She has volunteered extensively with non-profit organizations, including as a member of the board of directors for two organizations. In her free time, Juliana enjoys reading; attending performing arts events; traveling; watching tennis; and eating cheese.<\/p>\n

Fatihah Ullah<\/b><\/h2>\n

Program Coordinator for Experiential Education<\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n

Fatihah is the Program Coordinator in the Office of Experiential Education at Georgetown University Law Center. In her role, she supports the administration of the Law Center\u2019s non-clinical experiential programs, including the J.D. Externship Program, practica, and simulation courses. She works closely with students, faculty, and partner organizations to help manage program logistics and ensure a smooth experience for participants. Fatihah earned her B.A. in International Studies and Political Science from Johns Hopkins University.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining Georgetown Law, she worked with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as a Peace and Security Aide and served in the U.S. Senate, focusing on Indo-Pacific, cybersecurity, and domestic policy issues. She has also held roles in venture capital and nonprofit program coordination, supporting founders, policy initiatives, and student-facing programming. She has volunteered with refugee resettlement and prison education nonprofits and has presented and published work on gender-based violence and other topics at conferences. In her free time, she enjoys running a baking blog, attending concerts, rock climbing and hiking, and spending time with her kitten.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
