Breanna Peterson is a Trial Attorney and Professional Responsibility Officer with the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice (Commercial Litigation Branch, Fraud Section). Prior to joining the Department of Justice, Professor Peterson was a litigator at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where she handled civil litigation, white collar crime, government enforcement, and health care regulatory matters. Professor Peterson graduated magna cum laude from American University, Washington College of Law, where she served on the American University Law Review and was a student attorney with the UNROW Human Rights Impact Litigation Clinic. Before law school, Professor Peterson spent five years organizing activists, lobbying elected officials, and generating media attention for environmental, human rights, and public interest causes with Amnesty International and the US Public Interest Research Group.
