Derek Colla’s practice focuses on representing high-growth companies and their investors from formation through exit. Professor Colla works with companies in several industry verticals, including fintech, blockchain, insurtech, digital health, digital media, edtech, software and ecommerce. He has counseled companies and investors in hundreds of venture capital financings and has advised companies on numerous mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and follow-on public offerings. He graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Computer Science from Washington & Lee University and cum laude from Harvard Law School.
