Ms. Eldridge works in the Washington, D.C. office of K&L Gates LLP and concentrates her practice on defending securities litigation and assisting clients in responding to investigations by law enforcement authorities – particularly those involving potential criminal liability, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, or other securities laws. Ms. Eldridge defends individuals and entities against individual or class action suits alleging improper actions under the various securities laws including violations of Section 11 of the Securities Act of 1933, Sections 10(b), 13(d), 17, 20(a) and (b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5 thereunder, and Section 36(b) of the Investment Company Act of 1940. She has also defended against suits arising from tender offers and those alleging that investment decisions violated the federal racketeering laws. Ms. Eldridge also advises and represents corporate entities and individuals facing potential criminal liability. She conducts internal investigations where necessary or prudent. Ms. Eldridge additionally advises clients on the Foreign Corruption Practices Act and other anti-bribery laws.
