Rick Guinee has most recently served as an adjunct professor at the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle, where his courses included International Mergers & Acquisitions and International Contracting (Drafting and Negotiation). Prior to teaching, Professor Guinee practiced for 7 years with the Tokyo law firm now known as Nishimura & Asahi, where his work focused on advising non-Japanese clients on acquisitions of Japanese businesses, entering the Japanese market, accessing the Japanese capital markets, and doing business in Japan. Professor Guinee practiced for 6 years at Arnold & Porter, in the areas of sovereign debt, international trade, and securities and first amendment litigation.
