Jim Burger is in the Thompson Coburn Intellectual Property and Lobbying & Policy practices, where he represents technology companies. He was a Sr. Director in Apple’s Law Department responsible for world-wide government affairs. On behalf of technology companies, he lobbied issues such as fair use, the Audio Home Recording Act, and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act; he has been lead counsel in a variety of multi-industry content protection efforts. He also advises the Wikimedia foundation on copyright issues such as SOPA/PIPA. He was an Adjunct Professor at University of Virginia Law School.
