Kate Abdoo is an attorney with the IRS office of Associate Chief Counsel (Income Tax and Accounting) in Washington D.C. Prior to joining the IRS, Kate was a tax director with PwC, LLP’s National Tax Services, focusing on Federal income tax and accounting methods, including revenue recognition, expense recognition, depreciation/amortization, and leasing. Prior to joining the IRS, Kate served as vice chair of the Tax Accounting Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tax Section. Kate is also a former member of the AICPA Tax Methods and Periods’ Technical Resource Panel. Kate holds a J.D. from Pace University Law School and an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown Law Center.
