Previously, he was a partner at Bierbower & Rockefeller, 1977-1982 and at Ward, Lazarus & Grow, 1982-1991. He worked in the White House from 1974-77, at the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee from 1971-74, and at the U.S. Department of Justice from 1967-71. He has taught at the Law Center since 1979 and is a life member of the American Law Institute. Professor Lazarus was awarded the Silver Vicennial Medal by Georgetown University at the 2011 Spring Convocation.
