Professor Carlson graduated from Colby College in 1998 and Georgetown University Law Center in 2003. After graduation, he clerked for the Honorable John M. Rogers of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Lexington, Kentucky. Professor Carlson currently serves as General Counsel for Kapitus, a financial technology company focusing on small business finance. He previously practiced in the Legal Division of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (Professional Liability and Financial Crimes Section, Professional Liability Unit) and at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, DC.
